These engines spew greenhouse gasses. They should ONLY be run, even for show, if they are hooked up to a generator to feed power back into the grid. Just kidding. But seriously, what a beautiful sound! Such music!

I heard that these engines retain heat; after shut down, to such an extent that in order to start it you have to perform hot re-starts for up to twelve hours after previously shut down? Dang, what a complicated sentence!

This old thing is the largest American radial engine ever produced. It has four rows of seven cylinders and displaced about 4,360 cu. in. (hence the name).

We just cut down our 7' donor prop yesterday. Will make the club this week or next. And then we'll have to test it. ;-)
