"Angles Among Us" Durham Shores Chorus Christmas Tea 2009

At the Durham Shores Chorus's Christmas Tea this year we had a very special guest, Destiny Zand, my daughter!. Destiny graciously sung the intro to "Angels Among Us" possibly one of everyone's favorite song.

My letter to Destiny;

My little Destiny, I cant put into words how proud I was of you that particular day. It was at that instant that I understood my purpose in music. I realized it is God's way to nurture you with the self-love and reverence that music brings when its unselfishly shared. I eagerly hope someday you'll join the Chorus so we can both share such beautiful part of our life's together, good friends, great music and the joy that brings singing from the heart and feeling that frail bonding that happens between your notes and the rest of the world as you harmonize wonderful melodies. As it is doing for me, this Chorus will enlighten you with qualities such as commitment, endurance and perseverance, essential qualities to face your life ahead. My little girl, I pray that youll learn to follow your heart, as I know without a doubt, thats where your music rests, waiting to be sung, waiting to be heard.

Mi carta a Destiny:

Mi pequen~a Destiny, no puedo expresar lo horgullosa que me hicistes ese dia. Fue en ese mismo instante cuando comprendi mi proposito en la musica. Es un medio de Dios para ensen~arte lo que es el sentirse completa cuando compartes ese talento sin esperar nada a cambio. Viviras buenas amistades, fabulosa musica y ese sentimiento que surge entre tus notas y el resto del mundo cuando cantas en harmonia. No puedo esperar a que decidas unirte a este gran coro, el cual te entregara mucho a cambio, como me lo da a mi. perseverancia, continuidad y proposito son algunas de las cualidades que te seran muy utiles en tu futuro.
Mi pequen~a hija, Le pido a Dios que sigas tu corazon pues no cabe duda de que es ahi donde guardas esa voz que quiere salir a cantar y desea ser oida.
