Thanks for the review. I just ordered one of these to carry while I'm backpacking, and because it is the closest thing to CCW in Illinois, as long as the firearm is UNLOADED, mags can ride along with the handgun.
Great advice at the end, carry always and carry legally.

How big is the large side velcro pocket? Will the Samsung Focus fit in it?

So is a full sized 1911 too heavy for this pack? Does it really weigh down the pack even if you tighten it?
