Julia Child has a better recipe in her book Mastering the Art of French Cooking, and you do not need a grill. Use the Oven. Prep as before, you can use the same garlic-herb paste Alton did. Then, toss that into an oven in a roasting pan at 450 degrees F. Baste it every 4-5 min with melted butter or cooking oil (or rendered pork or beef fat) for 20 min. Then reduce the heat to 350 until it's done the way you want. No need for a grill.

"Soot is not a valid flavoring." Tell that to my uncle, AB. He insists on being the grillmaster every Memorial Day and even the dog won't eat the burgers.

"Sanford & Son set piece". Heh heh.

Also one of the few that make us laugh at the sound of a guy blowing himself up, what with the screaming and all...

apparently it is the bar-b-chef brand texas charcoal grill.. I dunno if they still sell them, but look at the barbecues galore site for other bar-b-chef grills (it seems barbecues galore owns that brand or something, so they aren't widely available for sale online)
Alton Brown is a Culinary master. I really hope one day I am able to prepare as many dishes as well as he is. I love the show!!

"Some folks just swear by this stuff, like my neighbor Bob." *Fire and Bob screaming* "But I don't know somehow it just makes me nervous."
Man, Alton Brow I think you are one of the only people n Earth that can put humor into a cooking show. That's why I love Good Eats.
