Wanna know what I'd do with a Rohld Dalh adaptation. Two words: Tim Burton
-
I loved Fantastic Mr. Fox! In fact, it was my favorite animated movie of 2009!
-
besides The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, Mary and Max is the saddest movie i've ever watched...

I think you should. It would be interessting to hear what you think about How to train your dragon, Toy Story 3, Despicible me, Megamind,Tangeled and outhers.
If you dont can you tell me what you thought about How to train your dragon and Toy Story 3?

Here is my opinion on the animated features I saw in 2009.
Coraline: Briliant in all ways.
Monsters vs Aliens: The animation, the humor & the cast is funn but the carachters and the story is papper thin. skip it.
Ice Age 3: I cant really hate it but it pales in comperison with the two first ones.
Up: Increadible (but pretty averege for a Pixar movie).
Cloudy with a chance of meatbouls: loved it.
9: pretty damn good.
The Princess & the frog: one of Disneys best films to date.

I think Coraline was a great film, it was scary but I like the alternate universe concept.
Fantastic Mr. Fox is a great film, but it might have been better if it was in the hands of an indie studio instead of 20CF. Like you say, a British voice cast would have done the film more justice and the story did appear compromised for profitability reasons.
Princess and the Frog was fantastic, and as long as lessons from the 90's are learned Disney had BETTER keep it up.
Are you gonna make A Look Back at the Animated Features of 2010 later on?

This was a great little look back, it definantly was a strong year for animation, one question though, when I watched the academy awards one of the animated movie nominations was 'Secret of Krells' and I dont think you went over it, though I don't blame you because I hadn't even heard of it till the nominees were announced. So have you seen it, or were you like me and had never heard of it till the Oscars???

@everlasting678 I had heard a little bit more about it, but I was surprised by its nomination and I haven't seen it yet, as it hasn't come to my town. But, it's getting released on Blu-Ray and DVD in October,so I will see Secret of Kells then.
