This video brought back memories of a good life, I too was in the BSAP, one of the first coloured Radio Technicians, I not only felt my tears drop because of this, but for the fact that there are black people commenting positively about Rhodesia! I remember in the 70's, it became popular amongst white girls to have a coloured boyfriend 1977/78,.. well, I spent a few times at Sauerstown Police Station because the cops caught me kissing a white girl!!??

Im black yet i see positive espects of the rhodesian era first we had the best Armed forces(selous Scouts) The Rhodesians even gave Zimbabwe one of the best education systems ten times better than South Africa,The rhodesians actually worked to improve things for blacks better than South Africans Its sad fellow black zimbabweans dont look at the positives of this era and learn from it

I want to say that governments which the US don't like get overthrown which isn't always for the best Rhodesia wouldn't allow multiracial rule so Ian smith was branded racist so motivated by Political correctness the UK government got what they wanted and fucked Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) up
-
@msasauk the world fucked up rhodisa was the best place in the world.I am america, the usa and england fucked up.the rhodisa people are the best

@OZZAZIM74 I knew Ian Douglas Smith and he was not a racist . All the black folks who knew him said the same. You are an opportunist who has learned in the west that if you accuse someone of being a racist, all the wimps will give you what you want.

GOD BLESS RHODESIA..GOD BLESS IAN DOUGLAS SMITH....

I would like to get some more info on the parade at the end.. what caught my eye was that this is a mix of all the forces.. (at the beginning there is a RSAS in front and what i presume to be an RLI trooper)
Whats the name of the song in the end?

The hymn 'Abide With Me' played by the band of the BSAP (the pipes were added later) - it goes into the beginning of 'The Last Post.
