  • @BillNickJim well i don't know so much about small amps. like I said I use the Roland Micro Cube with A DigiTech Distorion Factory or DF-7 and I can get any tone i want. As far as guitars go I chose the ex-260 because it's affordable and pretty damn good. But what I can say as an advice is look carefully and search guitars from all companies and most importantly compare them. I mean choose 5 or 6 guitars. Then narrow it down till you find your baby:D

  • @MrExplorer260 well, i need some help and i think you can help me.i've been playing the guitar (classical) since 2004.so i decided to change my way and start some downpicking :p.i'm a big fan of james hetfield and i really want to buy an esp (ltd for me) explorer like him.i think that this guitar (ex-260) is perfect for me but i can't decide which amp should i go for.i really love trash metal and some hard rock so giv me advice!if you also have a better idea for the guitar..plz inform me!!!

  • @palagod Those pickups suck, really. I might be getting ESP LTD Alexi 200 and i will change the pickups right away. Well i don't know what music are you to, i don't know if they're good for clean, but they're full shit for metal.

  • the lh 301 are from emg, they are from emg/esp ;)

  • wait did he say EMG pickups?

  • @ben10sk8r I meant it that way, that the pups called EMG are the only from that manufacturer that are Active. Not that EMGs are the only ones thats active of all pu's. We all know theres the Blackouts... -___- And more

  • i have that guitar. feels great in my hands above all it looks drop dead sexy

  • i have the EX-260 and it just sounds amazing...and i have a roland micro cube for an amp...but i use a pedal

  • @whiteexplosion Lol, seriously? first, if you have a shitty amp, you will not get the real sound of this guitar, and its not like you need a $5000 amp for it, just get a good amp, $300-$700 and youll see this piece of art shown here is a beast. 2nd, the pickups are great, and youll get a nice even even though if you have a crappy amp, compared to just some.. regular, mediocre pickups, but not the real sound.

  • okay now lets change the $5000 amp setup i have to a $100 one and sound like shit
