I lived in New Jersey in the late '70s and these commercials were everywhere. Sometimes it seemed as if TV was just one long Crazy Eddie commercial interrupted by the occasional show.

I was in high school and I saved up enough money to buy a stereo during Christmas in August. My mother and I went to the Crazy Eddie on Route 22 in Union NJ, they had the A/C cranked to like 40 degrees, you could see your breath! The workers were in full Santa garb with fake snow blowing around! My mother goes,"I'll be in the car!" I miss that old Sanyo AM/FM radio, with turntable and cassette!! I could listen to WPLJ and tape the good songs.

i KNOW you don't have that crazy eddie commercial where it was the thanksgiving sale and he had on the turkey mask and he didn't even talk...he just went "gobble, gobble, gobble" through the entire thing...i still remember that to this day and it cracks me up!

My Dad bought his first Technics stereo from Crazy Eddie in Brooklyn in 1978 and still has it! :)
