@lxx33 White takes the pawn on b6 with the knight to open the battery (multiple pieces attacking down a file or a diagonal) on f7, which directly threatens the black king. Hope this helps.
in response to your first question: notice that if he takes the knight with the pawn then white recaptures with the bishop black has no way of saving his rook trapped on A8.
Second question: similar to what happened in the actual game if Rxg8 then dxc6+ notice that the queen is now attacking the rook as part of a reveled attack. after either Qxc6 or Kxc6 Qxg8 wins the exchange.

Hi, I'm new to chess but cannot figure out one move by white.
Why at one point does the white Knight (0:56 seconds) takes a pawn. Isn't the Knight so more powerfull than the pawn on b6?
Other question is why at 1:25 the black rook at H8 does not take the white Bishop at G8
