Built by Janick Simeray, of SimerLab PARIS, this levitation device uses a sophisticated electromagnetic system to enable an object to float in mid-air -- the rotating platform can support up to 2-pounds (about 1 kg).

  • @MurdocLC I'm not saying it's fake, just that it was not the best choice of object, background and camera motion to show somthing that usually people wouldn't expect to be real

  • @TiagoTiagoT Hahahahhaha! XD Go read some books or something.

  • @MurdocLC A shiny alien looking object rotating in place floating without touching anything, in a shot that can be easily motion tracked; looks quite CGI for me

  • @TiagoTiagoT Ok... I don't think it looks CGI and ofc it isn't wtf.

  • @MurdocLC I'm not saying it is or isn't, just that it looks artificial, doesn't feel real, even if it is.

  • @TiagoTiagoT U calling this fake? XD

  • @liuton2005 I think , with no more magnetic fields around, it would be rotate 4ever :D

  • I would like this to be done with no air and to make it rotate.

It would rotate for a long long time. :)

  • damn, the spam filter was a pain to bypass :/

anyway, copy everything from the "d" in "data" all the way to the last equal sign, including the last equal sign, then paste it on the address bar, hit enter, and the actual address will show up as plain text on the page that will show

  • they should have tried to make it look less CGI-ish

with a bit of time to unrust my CGI skills and to polish a xmass ball, i could probably fake this video making somthing that looks about just as real as this

(URL data:text/plain;charset=utf-8;base64,aHR0cDovL3d3dy5seXNhdG9yLmxpdS5zZS9+emFwL2Nocm9tZS9leGFtcGxlLmh0bWw= URL , not me, but an example of a technique i could use)

ps:paste the stuff between URL on the address bar, or google for the Chrome Map 3ds Max plugin by Master Zap
