The people that should worry are the owners of the sites, programs, whatever, that people download shit off of, and the people that upload massive amounts of copywrited material. Dont worry, I strongly believe you wont be arrested. What you should worry about is the government changing the face of the internet.

@mraissam1997 Just watch what you do and I'm sure things will be fine. Dynamic IP addresses also make it a tad hard to track people. By the way; they also are ordering that all the information OF the Users be destroyed in the MEGAUPLAOD case, when they only copied down some of the servers information. Not all, but only using some in order to use it against KIM in his case.

@mraissam1997 She was probably using a more personal p2p sharing service that rooted her out, that's probably why. Things like KAZAA, for example. Remember the blow out with Napster? Yeeeeeeeah. I've met a guy once, who knew my friend, that said there were this guy, who chatted with a girl, who's farther's co. worker's son, had downloaded over 500TB a year, and they saw the movies home instead of using the theater, used the songs he downloaded in his car, even at the disco he shared them.. all the programs he shared with his friends, and the saved thousands of thousands of dollars a year.... damn.. wish i could find out of downloading like that.. but i can't sadly.. o.0

It is not against the law to download or upload copyrighted material. You just have to take it down if asked. You can be sued if you made a profit off what you uploaded but most media companies are not going to waste the time and money.

People just need to stop and think for a second. Megaupload had 180 million registered users (with countless more unregistered). That's a huge number of people to be thrown in jail, there is no way America could even begin to support the increased prison population. And secondly, do you thing Megaupload really kept EVERY IP address since 2005? For some reason, I highly doubt that they'd waste the space keeping tabs on everyone that has ever used the site
