Its Visual Style. Its a style that expresses themselves through make-up and clothes. Its the equivalent to Glam Rock in the US.. "Kei" translates to Style, Visual Kei = Visual Style. I would say YOU'RE the clown for having to make a fool out of yourself, which is what clowns do, saying such a thing. Oh and BTW, the majority of girls in this generation absolutely LOVES this look, thank you.

you think THEY wear tons of makeup? Have you even SEEN Clowns? All they have are eyeliner and foundation, and ONE of them has a butterfly on his cheek. CLOWNS have, red noses, HUGE red mouths with thick black around them, giant stars and tear drops and hearts and huge circles around their eyes along with randomly coloured hair. They have none of these things. Oh wow, one of them has red and black hair, yeah well lately this generation even has Blue, purple, and green.

Those comments were over a year ago. And whether you mean positive or negative, I do know there's more to Kei, and of course there's not only Visual. There's Oshare, Kotekote, koteosa, Sofubi, Angura(anguro? I dont remember, so many genres) and all sorts of endless styles by which more and more are being created. From the looks of it, I got pissed off at someone when I wrote those, so my writing probably wasn't at its best, anyway. ¬¬;;
