Just to show a 'new' theorem about isosceles triangles:
"The sum of the square roots of any two sides of an isosceles triangle is equal to the square root of the remaining side".
Funny thing: Spanish translation says the Pythagorean Theorem correctly (v=6h5xwetKbGI)

Was it a gaff? Or was it alluding to the fact that The Wizard didn't really give them anything but placebos to make them feel better, in other words The Tinman didn't get some magical heart that really made him feel, the diploma didn't really make the scarecrow any smarter (hence the wrong statement) and the cowardly lion is as cowardly as ever.

That wasn't even correct for right-angle triangles. You don't sum the square roots, you square root the sum. It's not a linear operation hahahah.

You're also incorrect. Homer said sqrt(s1)+sqrt(s2)=sqrt(r). You're changing it to sqrt(s1+s2)=sqrt(r) which is also wrong. I think homer meant squared instead of square root which would make his statement correct, but the formula doesn't work for any 2 of the 3 sides like he said.
