This dance is a musical and spiritual representation of the rice harvest dance performed in North Iran. The movements symbolize the planting, harvesting, and cleaning of rice by villagers in the Gilan Province of Iran.

Choreographer: Sara Zendehdel
Dancers: Parmis Rezvani, Pari Wafayee, Sara Zendehdel, Sadaf Zendehdel, Parisa Alizadeh
Song: "Siya Sokhte Tere Nakham" by Dariush

Performed as a part of the 8th annual Performing Arts Show, a show organized by the Iranian Students' Academic & Cultural Organization (ISACO) at the University of Texas at Austin. This year's theme was A Tour of Iran. Half of all proceeds benefited the Children of Persia charity. Visit www.isaco.org for more information.
