  • @watertothepeople yes he hitched a ride inside a piece of live rock that had a coral attatched to it, so was transported in a bag of water( how he survived the journey) and was hiding in my tank for a few months before i knew he was there! i could hear it hitting the glass at night but i thought it was my pistol shrimp, until a few things went missing and then i spotted him!

  • @efcbluenose1 no!! how he came inside your tank as a "hitch-hiker"? did you buy a rock in the shop where he was hidden in and he survived until you came home and placed the rock in your tank? maybe I just didn't understand the hitch-hiking right.. besides I saw in your other video that you got him finally

  • @watertothepeople how did he get in? - inside a rock!

  • @watertothepeople this video is 6 months old now, i caught it ages ago and took it back to the shop. I know that they are awesome creatures but they can eat everything in your tank and can even break the glass in an aquarium, so, yeah, he had to go :o)

  • you say hitch-hiking mantis shrimp.. so you got it for free? how did that happen? why do you try to catch it..thats a very interesting and special guy to have in your tank. besides they are not shrimps and they are smart.. guess you'll have to work to catch him. what works good for crayfish is to use a dark trap. they fell saver going into something dark like theire own cave. or try it at night maybe..good luck

  • @moneymarkj thanks, i will have to catch it one way or another!

  • Keep trying it out...What do you have as bait? You might want to put an Emerald Crab in there...Good Luck and post a video if you can. Hope it works for you...
