Apollo 12 - EVA1 - TV Camera Failure Lunar Surface

To improve the quality of television pictures from the Moon, a color camera was carried on Apollo 12 (unlike the monochrome camera that was used on Apollo 11). Unfortunately, when Bean carried the camera to the place near the lunar module where it was to be set up, he inadvertently pointed it directly into the Sun, destroying the SEC tube. Television coverage of this mission was thus terminated almost immediately.

They were supposed to be prepeared for every single element of the mission.. i dont and i cant believe they didnt know pointing a camera into the sun would have produced that effect.

Nothing really happen accidntally.. caos is in itself part of the order

I talked to Alan Bean. He didn't say if it was on purpose or not. Only "I did." in response to, "Which one of you pointed the TV camera at the sun? You or Pete Conrad?"
