Part origin story, part celebration of the hobby, part update - this Halloween poem is one whole week late! I wrote it last saturday in an effort to sum up my experience so far. Most importantly I wrote it to thank you all for your support, subscriptions and comments following my first video upload last week and my channel subsequently being featured by terrainoob. You guys rock!
The poem deals with my accidental avalanche of a foray into Miniature Wargaming which began earlier this year while I was reading White Dwarf in an effort to improve my painting skills. At the time I was working on a 7" conversion of a DC World of Warcraft action figure which you will see in the video. Soon though my focus shifted to War of The Ring and my army grew exponentially. Most recently I have begun painting and modelling after spending many weeks watching all of your wonderful youtube videos.
This brings us to present day where I am busy working on a number of projects including a Warhammer 40k total conversion of Dark Eldar Archon, a Tyranid diorama and the painting of my first 8 Uruk-hai Pikemen. Some in-depth videos to come soon on these projects as well as a series of introductory videos covering my workspace, models and my favourite videos on youtube.
In conclusion - A big thanks to terrainoob for the feature last week. And a huge thanks to you all for your continued enthusiasm. Thanks for stopping by :)

Concerning Hobbits - A Hallowed Beginning.
This is not a hobbit,
but it is the beginning of a story.
And the end of Tichondrius,
his murder most gory.
He bled on the blade
of the Elf Illidan,
It's darkness drawn deep
from The Skull of Guldan.

And all of this happened
not that long ago,
but a trifling 8 years,
or 8 months if your slow.
They say that its said
when it comes to their toys,
(Specifically a brand new DC Illidan Stormrage action figure with attachable dual glaives and seven inch demon wings!)
Its said that they say
"Boys will be boys!"
For as much as this boy loved
his demon of death,
Something just wasn't right
and well alone - 'Big Illy' - would not be left.
More magic, more meaning
how far could he take it?
The Transformation begins
My own I can make it!
For this is the challenge we all pose ourselves
The artist and craftsman and gamer's shared glory.
As we wander the store isles scanning the shelves
In each book adventure, in each box a story.
So armed with scalpel and green stuff and glue,
He sliced and he diced and he measured and drew.
And moulded and carved, on the job he did crew,
But at painting he paused, next to nothing he knew.
And then, came the flu.
See he'd stopped at the store where he'd spied a White Dwarf,
Not that kind, but the kind
in which you you might find
All kinds of secrets for the painting inclined.
And he learned what we he could though he's now learned much more -
And 'hurry!' they cried for the poem's come a bore!
We're wondering sir if there's a point to this thing.
We'll yes you see, the issue at hand is Lord of The Rings!
A collective groan could be heard in the wings.
When one has a cold, one best stay in bed,
One best stay in bed and rest ones head.
One MUST NOT bring his laptop to bed with infection.
Where combined with White Dwarf and a wireless connection,
one will spend several hours NOT reading 'bout blending,
But on Ebay instead buying little men for... mending!?
Or at least that's the reasoning given when asked
why buying four hundred toy soldiers was a necessary task.
Its like Gaughknee's reclaimants! ...well maybe somewhere on par.
Its like Art! Its like Craft! Hey I know! It's like restoring an old car!!!
But the packages sent and they came and they went!
And the boxes tore open and bubble pack rent!
And soon the cold warmed, he no longer felt ill
And the purpose built shelves by army did fill.
And youtube oh youtube oh youtube you too!
With each vid' after vid'
the joy!
the madness!
it grew!
Til the boy cried please wait! For all you have shown
I would but give back! And my first...
