@AeonMagnus Well thank you for the quick response. And yes, that is the one I meant. I do know some of the CGI ones but, more beast wars and CyberTron. Yes Energon was played in my country, I just was not that interested back then, and more interested now. If that makes sense.

Optimus is jealous!XD

@AeonMagnus I guess I misrepresented what I meant to say. You are correct, and I know this from actually having the toys, and having performed the cross-class combinations. All in all, there was a reason why it wasn't done in the show.

@kosmo7895 TFU. info has pictures of Powerlinx combinations, which indicates that Deluxes like Hot Shot and Inferno can combine with Megas (Voyagers) like Ironhide and Jetfire. Possibly not universally, but mostly.
However, the cross-class combining doesn't usually seem to turn out very pretty. Or very proportional.

@StarFighters76 They aren't the same size/class. It wouldn't work. Deluxe class combiners are: Hot Shot, Inferno/Roadblock, Rodimus, Prowl, and Downshift. (You can also include Tow-Line, if you count non-show figures.) Voyager class combiners are: Ironhide, Jetfire, and Cliffjumper. Deluxe can only combine with deluxe, and Voyager can only combine with Voyager. Deluxe and Voyager cannot combine.

I sat through and watched this series once all the way through, and it surprises me that Ironhide and Hot Shot never Powerlinked, even though Hot Shot is Ironhide's idol.
I am not a good enough fan to know the modern CGI series but, I remember one of these power links ending up with two upper halves joined at the waist.
And that was very comical. :)

@darthvaderluigi Sort of. Optimus Prime as depicted in the cartoon is based off the larger "Super" class figure (approx Voyager, I believe), which only combines with Prime Force drones, Wing Saber or Omega Supreme. It doesn't do pair-linking, ala the guys in this video.
However, there was also a smaller Deluxe class figure which does pair-link, forming the top or bottom half of a pair, such as with Jetfire, Hot Shot... or even another Deluxe Prime. Google: tfu powerlinx prime
