Originally released off of the White Album, this is a bootleg version recorded at George's home in the late 1960s. Love them or hate them, this is a new way to experience their music.

  • Love them or hate them? I've been listening to them since '64 and I have NEVER met anyone, young or old, who claimed to hate the Beatles!

  • @thejimshow4000

sounds great to me...his finger picking...you know jack shit nigga

  • @thejimshow4000 I think John learned it from Donovan, when they were all in India.

  • Ok grasshoppers.. this finger picking style was introduced to john by Donovan during their time in India. It shows the magnatude of artist Lennon was by taking his newly found inspiration and writng whole songs around it. Just listen to the White album

  • Oh Johnny, how much joy you brought! How many of your songs I still sing and how your spirit abides with love, hope, humor and permanence in my mind. 31 years since you left us, but still, I count on your memory to lift me. I was 9 when we got 'Meet the Beatles' and started wearing out phonographs listening to it. Nothing ever approached the love we had for their music, and nothing ever impacted me as profoundly.

  • Check-out Lennon's song "Out The Blue" from the remastered Mind Games CD (Lennon's guitar intro).

Lennon was, in fact, the only Beatles guitarist to really utilize the full travis finger-picking technique.

  • @123ThisIsMe "Travis Picking" to be specific.

  • who else saw kurt cobain in the first picture

  • @leo6012

search for beatles acoustic masterpieces and you'll find some torrents/downloads.

  • @myfineday

yup, donovan showed it to him, and at the same time paul developed his own unique finger-picking style.
