This week-long program is designed to provide an opportunity for talented high school students between their junior and senior years to experience science in action and investigate current topics in science.
Students will have the opportunity to earn college credit while experiencing how scientific knowledge is gained and the process of conducting and communicating scientific investigations. Students will work in teams to complete an inquiry-based project and present their results.
Program activities include classroom learning, hands-on environmental learning experiences unique to western Pennsylvania, research shadowing, and recreational activities guided by experienced resident assistants.
