THis song became a staple with all the touring groups in the 50s. The success of the Louvin Bros with this song made it a song so often requested all the touring bands knew it.

I remember when my band (The Fremonts) recorded this song , my singer Curtis Streamliner kept "Throwing her into the River" too early!!! It was funny as hell to hear him go " Dammit, I keep throwing her into the river too early!!!
