In town? If you want quick street food, dirty water dogs are fine, I suppose. Want a step up? Try Gray's Papaya with a delicious fruit drink.

  • What's funny is how different parts of the city are like living in different parts of the country. Meaning, I lived in midtown and rarely went down to the Village (which I knew I should have done more.) But my friend recently lived in the Village and he showed my all these great places to eat and drink.

And since much of NYC is in a constant state of flux, most of my old haunts have become something else.

P.S. you need to do a vlog on Sleestaks! Weren't they flushed baby alligators?

  • @kingdomofchrissmith I was explaining the exact same thing to my wife a little while ago. If a place moves 5 streets down, you'll never eat there again, it's like they moved out of the city. Same thing with friends. They'll move to another neighborhood, and you'll see less of them like they moved to another state. Well, maybe not that bad!

A bunch of places are closing here that I've been going to since the 90s. And I do believe that is the origin of Sleestaks! ;)

  • I've never been to NY but I definetaly have to try a hot dog especially the one local recommends :))

  • @tmk8558 lol! You'd like it! And I think you'd like it here too! You should get Mr.MULLY to take you for the Van Halen show! hahahaha!

If you can handle Tokyo, you can handle New York. Cities are pretty much all the same. ;) Thanks for stopping by Mrs.MULLY ! Cheers!

  • Your videos are full of mysterious references to us from the land of the lost (the West Coast). "dirty water dog" -It sounded like something from a duck hunting article in Field and Stream, "You have your smooth hair labs, and curly hair labs, all of them make fine dirty water dogs." Well, thank God for Google: "The dirty water dog, or just a hot dog,..are hot dogs that go for a swim, then a soak, in boiling water to heat them up.. prepping them for their big moment." haha! : ) Brian.

  • @LoveMattersMost You sir, are a scholar and a gentleman! I also lol'd about the smooth hair labs. And watch out for those sleestaks! ;)

  • @RPJoey Hey that's pretty cool! I live in the neighborhood! I wonder if we ever passed each other? hahaha!

  • The very same Grey's Papaya I would go to for a hotdog. Awesomeness!
