Cascada de Flores sings 'Las olas de la laguna', poetic dance piece ('son') from traditional mariachi repertoire, inspired by Arhoolie's release of the first recordings of Mariachi, by the Cuarteto Coculense. Performance at CdeF's 10 year anniversary show, Freight and Salvage Coffeehouse, May 10, 2009. From Left to Right: Sabra Weber, Cynthia Holberg, Arwen Lawrence, Jorge Mijangos, Jorge Liceaga. Arwens vocal arrangement is influenced by the violin and vihuela parts heard in the mariachi ensemble. Un son abajeño inspirado por la antigua grabación del Cuarteto Coculense, arreglado por Arwen Lawrence especialmente para voces. Concierto en Berkeley, California, 10 de Mayo del 2009.
