@danylson10 Easy Goer ran seven or eight 120+ or higher beyers in his life(double the amount of any horse since Bid, including Ghostzapper,Skip Away,Cigar,Holy Bull,Alysheba,Zenyatta,Curlin,
John Henry, etc). His ragozin speed figures were also amazing. -
Is their any way we can get ESPN or Randy Moss to Figure out how fast he really went in all his races, he was fanned wide around both Turns, sub 2:00 if he isnt wide???

"Easy Goer met those dreams and expectations embodied in his powerful chestnut frame and authored an unforgettable Hall of Fame racing career, and he will always be mentioned in the same breath with the greatest of all time." B.H.

the handsomest boy ever. rest in peace sweet pretty powerful boy. if pat day could ride one step no one would ever have touched you. we all miss you big strong handsome boy.

A colossal beast is right Gberet83. Easy Goer, just colossal performance after colossal performance in his career, and he was a colossal beast at all distances of ground.
-
my point being it seems like pat would ask him for speed and then slow him down. in this vid at the top of the stretch he asks him to go and then its like he stopped him when he went to run past the lead horse and waited for them to straighten out to let goer go by. he should just let goer carry the speed by when he asks him the first time and end the race at that point. idk maybe im wrong.

yeah i think pat day made Easy Goer look bad, i think Venezuela would have won the crown on goer.

Easy Goer-one of the true all time great, once in a lifetime horses who combined blistering, record speed at a mile and at shorter distances, with a truly supreme and genuinely brilliant stamina at the longer and classic distances.

It was Andrew Beyer who stated that from a speed performances standpoint, that Easy Goer ran even better and faster than Seattle Slew,Affirmed and Bid, at the ages of two and three years old, with his amazing performances. And only ran a few times at the ages of four, but still ran ten furlongs in near track record time of two minutes flat.

No doubts at all that in talent, ability, constitution,sp
eed-stamina combo, that Easy Goer was a top ten all timer, and the proof of that came in his many, many top ten performances at all distances,6.5F,7F,8F,9F,10F,12 F,but those 2 typically atrocious rides that got him beat a nose and desperation vs. another great horse put him into the thirties with him and where he ended up.
A beast!! No other way to put it. I know the lifetime record between the two doesn't support me saying this? But I still to this day believe that Easy Goer was the better horse of the two between himself and Sunday Silence. I just don't believe that Sunday Silence could've reeled off the string of G1 win's at Belmont and Saratoga that Easy Goer reeled off. Easy Goer would've been great, no matter what surface he raced on, IMO.

The Hall of Fame champion and all timer Easy Goer's record three yr old mile of all time in 1:32, smashing Secretariat's record by a full second and just a tick off Dr. Fager's world record mile, and the monsterly overwhelming, second fastest Belmont Stakes of all time, are the two best performances since Bib in 1980, and this Travers and his 89' Whitney are truly not far off those two performances.
