STIG-A is designed to test the major components of the future passenger vehicle that will carry Space Adventures customers to space. This flight took off from Spaceport America in New Mexico on Dec 4, 2011. The vehicle reached the altitude of 137,500 feet (41.91km), and landed successfully within the projected landing area.
