How to make an Apple Pie (Lattice Crust)

Everyone has their own way of making an apple pie....I'm just sharing the way I make MY own apple pie.

Some people like to stick to one type of apple when making an apple pie...but I like to use a variety from sweet to tart apples. It leaves the suspense in every bite you get a different flavor.

Recipe:

Pastry:
- 1 3/4 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick of butter)
- 3 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1/3 cup ice cold water

Apple Filling:

- 6 apples (Use 3 different types, medium sized)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- pinch nutmeg
- pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoon flour (if you are using larger apples, just add a little extra flour)
