This is the third part of our on-going module of network connected devices. This part overviews network switches and what functions and roles they may play in a network structure. Network switches are intelligent devices in that they direct data flows to the appropriate devices on your network once they have learned what devices are connected to the switches' physical ports. We advise to watch this series in order that way your information builds on prior information.

    ...we did invent some great things. Although thats something we're good at, inventing then selling out to the highest bidder and losing control of the sales, manufacturering and total income to the UK!

    I'm a student pilot and Aviation was one of our greatest pioneering areas of history!

    Telephone was invented by another guy, Bell stole the idea and presented it as his own in order to gain the patent. He simply got the idea into the post first. Prior to him seeing this idea, he was not into any such experiments! Not much to be proud of there really lol!

  • never mind, got it fixed, it just needed to be repaired through windows (XP that is)

  • I have a Encore ESH-709, if I connect the internet to the line in, and my pc into one of the out ports, i get 10mbps, and it says their is limited or no connectivity. I i connect the internet cord into the out plug, and the pc into the input plug, i get 100 mbps, please help!

  • Men, I have a question. I brought Network switch( Fast Ethernet Switch Brand), I want to set-up it, with my Laptop and another PC. So, how to connect both PC? Do I have to Change both IP Address to be same? or I have to install some program to with? Please Help please help...
