Hi, just made this for the kids evening meal and they loved it. One thing though, I wated to follow the vid on my ipad which is kept in the kitchen only when i went to view the 2 vids it said that the poster has disabled viewing on IPads. shame as I had to keep running back to the pc in another room. Would love to to see beef with green peppers in black bean sauce. Mmmm....

@HyperfastMalmsteen Next time you have a thought like this, do all of us a favor and just shut up.

Frying it twice is a great idea! I've tried to deep fry before and usually my coating isn't really crisp enough. This is going to be my first time trying to do sweet and sour pork, but I think that's a useful tip for A LOT of frying.

what a fucking tip..its not like we would eat this with potatoes or italian pasta..real smart guy you are for giving the tip about the rice..

Well I also commonly used arrowroot/tapioca starch for thickening sauce. It gave less of the raw starch flavor.

Just a tip...you shouldn't throw all of your meat in the pot at the one time. It drops the temperature of the oil causing the meat to absorb the oil and become greasy. Do it in batches and it'll be a lot crispier.

I would have added a touch of 5 spice powder, just for the taste of it. And I've had this dish with some pickled veggies, like pickled cauliflower and carrots and/or sweet pickle. Thank you SO much for this video!!! I can't wait to make it either, he made me hungry!! :) Ric
another tip is to serve this with a pretty good amount of rice helps make it into a bigger meal
