WotLK: Mirror Image

This is footage of Mirror Image from the WotLK Beta.

The spell tends to switch your placement with one of your copies, which sometimes interrupts casting, you can see it in the beginning of this video. I assume this is a bug.

Spell Description:

Mirror Image (80) - Creates 3 copies of the caster nearby, which cast spells and attack the mage's enemies. Lasts 30 sec. 10% of base mana, Instant cast, 3 min cooldown.

It's meant to switch your placement, just like from WC3. It's so you don't just summon them and people still know where you are standing.

I guess I wasn't clear (I'll edit the description), I was saying the way the spell interrupts your cast seems really buggy.

You can be facing your target while in the middle of a cast and it will switch with a mirror image, sometimes making you face AWAY from your target, breaking your cast. So not only do you have to cast another spell, you have to do a complete 180 and begin recasting. This will not work well for those with slow reaction times. It looks buggy, but then again it's only beta.

Switchin' your placement with one of your copies seems like a great idea, throws the attacker off :P I dont think its a bug.

Yeah but it interrupts your cast :p Bug or not, it's really annoying

i'd like to see if oyu can do blizzard with mirror image, now taht'd totally rock. i think the move is called blizzard. i like to call it the reign of i frost. my next toon may be a mage.

images dont have much hp so most of the time i typhoon them and kill them if not just throw them a little moonfire

Aww man! That stinks! Arcane Missile/Blast/Barrage maybe even Explosion would be too OP'd I suppose. 4 Explosions (in close prox) and Barrages would kill in one volley if arcane spec'd. But I'd personally want to see all 3 images shoot missiles 8D
