  • these forms are used in particular instances, so they make sense when you see the attacks they are defending against. try looking up SAITO and JO he has some clips where he explains the attacks/ defences and rationale

  • It is indeed a jo and not a bo. This entire series of videos is mislabeled.

  • Is that not a Jo staff rather than a bo?

    I would consider this technique somewhat suspect also. Very little footwork would leave you open to attack and most of the strikes are unnessecarily long while not that effective.
