  • Damn straight...Especially in flicks like Bad taste.Dead alive and Italian horror!!! Great Question btw!!!

  • @TheCropsyManiac Hey, thanks Cropsy! Yeah, I really don't mind when people die in movies....they aren't real! So why shouldn't we laugh at there horrible demises? Thanks for commenting, man!

  • It really depends on how the people in the film are killed, whether I like the characters or not, and how fake it looks. If it looks phony as fuck, I usually just lose it....I laughed hard when dude got his schlong cut off in Cannibal Ferox, and the native just popped it in his mouth like it was no big deal. That shit was comedy to me.

  • @Chocolatetorpedo I like the castration scene in "I Spit On Your Grave".

    "IT WON'T STOP BLEEDING!!!!"

    Thanks for the comment!

  • Laughter is a defense mechanism. Some people's minds handle seeing gruesome shit in many different ways. For some, they laugh because if they didn't they might cringe or recoil and look/feel like a wimp. If seeing people get killed is genuinely funny to you...you may be a sociopath (lol). Then of course sometimes it's meant to be funny. Just depends I guess.

  • @FreddiePipes Thanks for commenting, Rev. I don't think I'm that far gone (HaHa) but I think the best thing to say is like watching Movie Characters getting Killed.

  • It depends how they die. No, I don't enjoy anyone dying, and I'm not one of those who go to car races to watch the big crack up either. I'm weird.

  • a VERY good interesting question.... well thought. well.... i remember having a bloodthirsty ball watching the first SCREAM as all the pretty people in the flick were gruesomely murdered! i laughed my ass off!!!! in fact, i think i was the only person in the movie theatre laughing LOL!!! the people behind me would snicker and pout when a favourite cutey pie would be murdered! what fun! anyhowwwwl, i usually look forward to it and make a guess-timate who will die first and cheer when they are!

  • I agree with you: It depends on the situation.

  • hell yeah i do it makes my day alot better when im feeling sad ;p dont ever ask me that question again!!!!!

  • Yes most of the victims in horror movies had it coming anyways. Just watched Hatchet 2 good laughs in that one.

  • Hope you enjoyed your Memorial Day.

Laughing at death scenes depends on the context of the movie - is there a humorous side to the movie? Sometimes revenge seems like something to laugh at or cheer for. Or as FreddiePipes says, it could be a defense mechanism. I've seen similar scenes, makes me laugh in one movie, but totally cringe in another. And they don't even need to show much, just the thought of it sometimes. Sort of like AFV where someone gets one to the groin...

  • @johnnyhorror92182 LOLOL yeah that was comedy because well he deserved it and yeah the scream was so...pronounced, hahahaha
