First: Everything I've said in the video is a lie and the guitarist hits every note. But nevertheless, this is one method of playing this riff.

The delay effect is similar to what Buckethead uses in Big Sur Moon... He supposedly learned it from Paul Gilbert. You can figure out the delay effect better by watching Paul Gilbert's tutorial on how to play the Echo Song.

  • it's called slapback delay.

  • @xPsuedo Thanks, man!

  • No delay effect is used on the original. He just picks it.

  • @atgvid Looking it his right hand in some of the videos, it seems like he doesn't. But thanks! I guess this is just my way of playing it then.

  • That is actually really cool delay, even if he plays all the notes.

That said, I think you may be playing an octave lower than the real song.

  • Pronounce it as Colin Skee-han. Nice video though, thanks :3

  • Hey man, he actually just hits the individual notes without delay, been watching these guys play for far too long and felt the need to comment, apologies, nice effect though...

  • @dlak09 It's a cool effect for arperggio type stuff! Great guitar too. Looking to get on myself!
