@FMDoctorWho You clearly misunderstood the ending. The Dream Lord appears to the Doctor even after he blows the psychic pollen out the TARDIS, clearly indicating that the Dream Lord - the embodiment of the Doc's dark side - is a constant reminder to him of what he could become. This IS what the nature of the Valeyard is.

Neil Gaiman's Morpheus will whoop Moffat's Dream lord's ass if they both meet in the future.

okay, so what i don't understand is that the Eknodine say they've been chased from their planet by the silence (and the silence is always around in this series, i love it) but (SPOILER) if that is (one of) the dream world(s), then why is the silence appearing in it?

This Epiosde Is one of the worse Epiosdes In the Series!!!!

@FMDoctorWho I realize that. I never assume (at least, beyond fangirl-ish hopes) that anything old school (and semi-obscure) will show up in the plot without extreme hinting and the like beforehand. Thanks for the assurances that I understood the plot, however. :)
Well, that trailer was much more epic than the official version. Much more mysterious since you kept the Dream Lord out of sight. Was that coincidental or intentional?

@mowingthefrontlawn Thanks for commenting! It was coincidental until I had the choice to put one clip of him in or no clips in due to only one slot being left and I decided it might be best left out so people can guess. Thanks again!

Amy's Choice is my new favourite episode - alongside Midnight. It was absolutely BEAUTIFULLY written and I have no doubt that the Dream Lord is the Valeyard in some form or other. Notice how he teleports around at will - like in The Ultimate Foe - and all the evidence just points at it.
Once again, your work really did it justice Vortex. Brilliant work as always.
