I dont understand 15 Hours? I am just learning to pass my LGV and though you had a maximum driving time of 10 hours?

You are correct in saying that your maximum driving time is 10 hours but the 15 yours is your maximum duty time between the start and finish of your shift. Minimum rest = 9 hours in 24 hour period. 24 - 9 = 15.

I could turn round at the place I parked up but would have run out driving hours going the long way home. So I waited there. If they had taken any longer opening the road I would have just pulled my curtains and slept there.
