The Chinese citizens of Malaysia have large percentage in the over-all population. In order to distance themselves away from the Chinese of China they call themselves "hua-ren" (still means Chinese literally) and prefered Mandarin as language of communication since the educators of last last generation promoted in their Chinese schools.

The four girls use Mandarin in the song.
