  • As should you be if you choose to squander your economic resources on Haiti that's your choice, but the tax man wants you to spread the wealth in Washington so they can squander it on waste.

  • Charity is collectivism it isn't some noble moral endevor. It's unamerican and it ought not to be rewarded. Why reward the squandering away of resources and giving property to those who have not earned the rights to use that property?

  • So if you give your entire income ( assuming one can afford too) to charity you still will be taxed?

  • He's an idiot.

  • This is some seriously fuzzy math! The charitable deduction is not a reason for giving - true - but it is a simple issue of how much an individual can afford to give. Reduce the deduction and you reduce the giving - period. Would you rather have that money in the hands of a local charity or fueling a plane for Nancy Pelosi to travel the World? And of course, the top 1% won't impact approval ratings. That is the real story here isn't it?

  • What evidence is he talking about? Would love to see that.
