Legislators from the northern Kenya region have vowed to rally residents from the region against a planned repeat census in 8 selected districts, terming the exercise both illegal and unnecessary. Led by northern Kenya development minister Mohammed Elmi and deputy speaker Farah Maalim, the mps allege that the planned repeat census was driven by political motives including cutting down on the number of additional constituencies to be created in the region, and a continuation of its marginalization. Chris Thairu reports.
KENYAN SOMALIS OWE THEIR ALLEGIANCE FIRST TO THEIR RELIGION AND SECOND TO THEIR RACE - they care less about their country - that's if they be truly Kenyans.
They would rather harbour their people from across the boarder than care about the interest of Kenya - a country which they claim citizenship of.
