Join the club, lol!! I started watching GH during the controversial rape scene with Luke & Laura (October 1979). To be honest, after the "Laurelton Murder Mystery" storyline ended involving Terry Brock, Lucy Coe and the O'Conner brothers, in the spring/summer of 1986, I slowly started to lose interest in the show. Maybe it was because of my new day job at the time. I caught an episode recently of GH, I was like WTF? What did they do to this once great show!

I remember these ads. I would always laugh because the announcer was same man who did the voice of the Robot from Los In Space :)

I stopped watching it after nearly 29 years (august 1981- april 3rd 2010) . It was too much mob stuff, too much Sonny and Jason. All the old faves were practically all gone. The Quartermaine family had almost died out , they killed off practically all of them. it was time to move on. The best era of GH? the 80's!! Anna Devane with that fake scar LOL, the Brownstone killer, the Cassadine weather machine, a whole lotta Quartermaines and their nutty antics, Heather Webber the bitch!
