If you had read the description of the video, you'd see that it's some dude's kid brother trying Kyudo for his first time.
For all you know this was a seminar that encouraged beginners from the public to try it out. It may not have even been an official dojo!
I agree with you about safety and the importance of proper etiquette, but when you don't know anything about the situation other than the video you're watching, you can't make comments like you did...it's pointless.

without surveillance nor security such as a tatami behind the makiwara. But hey, that just common sense.
For the rest of it, i recognize i didn' t go easy an the "shinto" part, and maybe that was exagerated, but you have no idea how many video like this there is, saying "this is kyudo" when it is not. So let's call it overreacting. having said that you seem kind of eager to insult people. if you do not care about security it is fine by me. is Your life based on shinto ? is that the point ?

Wow, there is some educated zen monks on youtube.
Ig i get your profile right, you are...and live in ....Which says all -it is well known we french are a bunch of frog-eating-communists-.
One of the basic step in any martial arts is to make a difference between the dojo and outdoors, if not living by the Do constantly. And i didn't pretend to be an expert. All i was trying to say is : any responsible kyudo teacher would be kicked by the real sensei if they let a kid playing....

nice video, I hope to at least try Kyudo someday.
It's such a peaceful art, and the freeing of the mind is so valuable.

P.S., this was to HerrKommissar

wow, there are always so many "experts" on youtube.
you're only 24, live in France, and have favorites on your profile about pole dancing.
I'm sure you live your life completely based upon shinto values right?
you have no business telling anyone else anything - when you pretend to be an expert, you are showing you have arrogance, and if you have arrogance, you don't understand the first thing about Japanese martial arts.
go lecture some more video posters you idiot.

Certainly not, but it is not the point here in my opinion.
1-because of some security procedures that kyudo, like any kind of archery, requires.
2-Because this is kyudo equipment, based on shinto values and from this point of view, using kyudo stuff without even proper clothes (hakama or black sportswear pants for the beginner, and so on) could be interpreted as a sign of disrespect.
3-but well, he's young, it's not his fault, rather those who lent the kyudo equipment.

Sicherheitsordnung? Gefährliches Spiel...

Sorry but I can't call this decent kyudo. This kid practically ignored the hassetsu (steps)... He didn't raise the bow before firing, and the arrow is supposed to be drawn beyond the ear...
But given the fact that's you shot this vid in a kyudo club, consider yourself lucky. Here in my country, kyudo is unheard of... *sobs*
