It has been a long time since leaving VIet Nam in December 1968. Was a great country then - now too - just hope that villages like this will be able to adjust in this economy. I was stationed at Marble Mountain airfield with MAG 16. I still have my Marble Mountain marble memory with the country and my name engraved. Want to go back someday.

MCAS Marble Mountain is now gone for the most part. A few rocket proof revetments are still up but everything including the runway to the beach is gone. Now there are resorts, a Chinese casino and villa developments.
