  • so there's this thing called a splash pan that most people use lol..... might wanna invest in one haha

  • I've made pieces twice that size w/o using 25lbs of clay... Also, a classmate of ceramics II centered 15 to 20lbs of clay on the classroom wheels. Her pots where 4x +/- the size of the one he threw. Her's nor mine have that kind of wobby. We don't cut with needle tools either. We use cut-off tools. He plainly says "needle tool" before cut-off tool numerous times. Not a very good video. Seek Simon Leach's videos for better quality teaching & throwing techniques. That's just my humble opinion.

  • Messy Bugger!

  • You can see this is a different piece/location(he was outside/then inside) from early on, he didn't waste all of that clay.

  • Any word on the contest?

  • When I saw the large amount being wedged I was looking forward to seeing a large pot being thrown, it all went on the wheel, but at 1:40 when we see it centered, 2/3 of the clay is gone. Disappointing. Final piece uneven and warped looking.

  • straightforward presentation that tells how it's done!

  • It explains the process in a clear manner. Well done.
