National University of Malaysia (Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia) is participating in Shell Eco-Marathon Asia 2011 on 6 -- 9 July 2011 at Sepang International F1 Circuit.
The principle of the Shell Eco-marathon challenge is simple. It is to design and build a vehicle that uses the least amount of fuel to travel the farthest distance.
Our car, KencanaGen2 is under the Electric-Mobility category using Hydrogen Fuel Cell as our source of power. We will be maximizing the mileage of our car by using light materials, minimizing drag and friction. Our objective is to make fuel efficient car using Hydrogen Fuel Cell Technology. The aim of the futuristic prototype is to come up with innovative ideas in the field of fuel efficiency which may well one day revolutionize the auto industry.
