  • newb here; can i burn granular Resin Incense by themselves? or should I add loose incense with it? Sorry for lamo question I am new to this; thanks for video!

  • @daddygreenjeens you can burn resin by itself. for resin i tend to let the charcoal get really hot and white because resin burns fast and can get really smokey. you may want to use the makko method krazyboytx has a video on. just search his name and you will find the video how-to :)

  • Nice Cauldron. I use the same exact one and love it. Those charcoals do not last for 3 hours like you claim. Maybe 40 minutes. You would do better getting smaller tongs or using tweezers. Other than that, you did a great job explaining resin/herb incense on charcoals. I can especially appreciate the importance you teach about the heat on the bottom, using ash and being safe with fire.

  • @Bandit2Bandit Thanks. Glad you enjoyed the video. I have had one piece of charcoal last many hours but I know other people haven't had that experience.

  • I've watched some of your other vids, I think you ROCK!!! If you 'Have' to put an incense out, do you use something special like a candle snuffer ['cause you're not suppose to 'blow' candles out], or does it matter how you "turn them off :-)" for lack of a better term? This video was fabulous just like the others.

  • thanks for watching! i am glad my vids are helpful. stick incense i put out by burying the lit end in the ash or sand. other incense...cone, loose...is hard to put out. sometimes smoothing it with sand/ash works.

  • yeah thanks this was nice and i gained a nice peice of knowledge being a person who burns stick and wants to try something different

  • I found this very helpful! Thank you! :)

  • Awesome video. Every time me and my family talk about my grandmas's incense she made they thought we were talking about the other type that people are told do not smoke. So thank you!

  • thanks for the upload ive been wondering how to burn loose incense for awhile and found your video helpful :)

    many blessings )O(

  • Note: Using saltpeter as an oxidizer is a common ingredient in many charcoals sold today. Saltpeter is either sodium nitrate or potassium nitrate, both of these are toxic chemicals and warn against inhalation. It's recommend to use bamboo charcoal or makko to burn your incense. A good way to tell if your charcoal has saltpeter in it is to see if it crackles when lit, if it does it most probably contains saltpeter.

I found that on a website. Those are easier to use but they never last long.

  • Thank you for the tip about the sand! I never thought to use that! I have been using charcoals for years and never thought to do that to protect for heat!

  • thanks so much !

    blessed be )O(
