Obi Wan Kenobi vs Darth Vader with Flashback

I imagine Obi Wan would have thought back to his first fight with Anakin Skywalker. How ironic it is that Darth Vader feels he is the master, when it seems Obi Wan won both of their fights, regardless of the score.

Actually, comparing the two fights like that, the later fight seems to resemble more traditional eastern swordfighting. Jumping around and fancy twirls is more for show than anything.

@shadowedge69 From that specific technical standpoint, sure, it is the weakest duel. I understand your argument on this scene's age. But I look at it from more than just that perspective, and even from a technical standpoint I do still enjoy this

That fight in 3 went on way too long. it started off cool, but it went on too long

@pkt1tripe I just think it's common sense why the Vader vs Obi-wan fight sucked the worst out of all 6 movies. I'm merely talking about the swordplay, not the char plot. Star Wars was created in 1977 with 2 guys that weren't trained using swords. As the sequels released and Prowse stepped down, the fight scenes got better. You don't seem to agree which makes me wonder about your objectivity. The ep III fight with Vader/Obi was far better even with all the CGI using the Force.

Also, it is debatable if objective criticism exists. One carries certain things they can't get rid of, their backgrounds and personal philosophies will still impact any decision or opinion we have in life.

@pkt1tripe Is it possible you aren't being objective enough? The importance of why they're fighting is debatable, but the mechanics aren't even close. Sure there were a few times in the prequels were they were just "looking cool" and not really fighting. But if you look at the fights overall, they were far better if you remove the plot element. I think you're biased because you love the old school char so much.

I watched the 2003 Clones Wars, and I liked it ok, and 2 episodes of the one currently running on CN. i am aware of what happens in the videos games and the expanded universe comic books, but all that last stuff because of youtube and wookiepedia
