@mrfitness2008 To an extent, yes it is. But there is a such thing as bad instruction and being taught nonsense that only makes your ball fly shorter.

What he's saying here, aside from making his swing more compact, is all advice anyone who wants to hit the ball further could use. Lots of people don't understand the role of the hands in the golf swing and are mistakenly taught there is a such thing as a golf swing that doesn't involve timing. BAAALONEY!
