Filippo Balatri vs. Steffi Graf

This scene is from a pasticcio focussing on castrati: "Kastraten - Gesang nach Messers Schneide" (Castrati - Singing on a Knife Edge) was performed at the Handel Festival in Halle in summer 2009. In this satirical scene an aged castrato (Balatri) and the old Steffi Graf compete with the brilliance of their biographies in order to forget the sadness of their own reality.
Hendrik Müller directed Tina Hartmann's oeuvre that combined music by Handel, Vivaldi, Monteverdi, Arne, Broschi, Purcell, Ravel, Stravinsky as well as pop songs. All musical arrangements by Barbara Rucha. Performers are Axel Gärtner and Harald Höbinger.
