this knot is strong enough, but there's a step missing - wetting the line before tightening the knots. Braids will have more knot weight when wet and it'll grip the floro/mono better, especially when using this knot with small poundage lines like 8-30lb..

@watertothepeople -- Hold the tag you're burning with pliers or any metal tool and it will conduct the heat and prevent it from weakening the main line.

@funnymen6 -- Buy your gear on the local market in the PI. Prices are good and they can tell you from firsthand experience what you need to catch the fish you're after. Have a San Magoo for me ;-)

first: i wan to know what kind of line do you using the orange color ? is it PE line/ some braided line with large diameter ?
did you test it ? how strong this knot if you give some weight or force to pull with fish scale as about 25 kg ?does it break ? / the braided line just cut cross away / the mono knot will break away in the knot if you pull it so hard ?

Big diameter of the braid and orange colour, were chosen only to be a better visibility of the knot in video.

skillz! nice vid! one critic: use a cigarette (or any heat source without flame) instead of the lighter - reduzes the risk of burning or weakening the line or knot.
