I can't believe nobody's put this on the Tube yet. It's freaking genius. Especially if you've ever been in a VO session with a director like this one. Ho Ho Ho everybody.

Wheels, not for VO. VO on 416 is played level but off center. If you don't do that you lose all the highs because of the end-file directionality of the shotgun. You ARE TOTALLY correct about recording dialog, it's from above or below. But it's not like a Neumann where you can hang it ligher and still not lose any brightness. Pointing it down in front of him produces "off mic" mud sound.
