*The Next Day*
*Demi's POV*
I hopped downstairs.
"Morning." my mom greeted me, placing my toast on the table.
"Im going to pick up a friend, so i dont have much time." i told her.
I bit into my toast, and walked into the living room.
"Talk to me before you poof on outta here!" she smiled.
I groaned and walked back into the kitchen.
My mom is the only one that knows about my power..
I planned on telling Selena, but i decided not to.
She would just make me use my powers on getting her dates or whatever.
I shoved the toast in my mouth, swallowing.
"Alright. I'm done. Can i go now?" i asked.
She giggled. "Sure."
I stepped into the living room, closing my eyes.
I got my keys, 2 cans of soda and my shoes on without moving a muscle.
Awesome, huh?
I appeared in my truck and started it before driving off.
No need to, huh?
But i have neighbors.
Ones that will notice my truck just disappearing into thin air.
I arrived at the Lautner house and knocked on the door.
Taylor opened it.
Once again, i was stunned by his abs.
He was shirtless.
All he had on was boxers.
His toothbrush was hanging out of his mouth.
"Demi?" he asked, surprised.
"Ew. Go rinse or something. Where's Joe?" i asked, crossing my arms.
"Upstairs." he mumbled, walking back upstairs.
"JOE! DEMI IS HERE FOR YOU!" Taylor yelled.
I watched as Joe hopped out of a door on the ceiling.
"Demi? Will you help me down?" he asked, trying to find the staircase.
I smiled at the sound of his voice and hurried up the stairs, taking his hand and helping him down.
It was like taking care of a baby.
So helpless...
I felt terrible.
"Mrs.Lautner? I'm going to school." Joe called.
There was no response.
"Thats a go. C'mon." he smiled as i lead him out to my truck.
I giggled and started the car.
"So? Tell me about this 'un-blinder'." he said.
I got serious. "You have to promise me that you will NOT EVER tell ANYONE, Joseph." i pleaded.
"Joseph?" he laughed.
"No joking!" i managed to giggle.
"Okay, okay. Demi, i promise i will not tell." he smiled.
"Joe .. i can make you see."
"I know. We established that." he smiled.
He reached over and flipped my hand over.
His finger traced my palm.
Maybe he was a fake blind person.
I mean, it seemed like he could see well..
I shivered at his touch.
"Joe, im serious. I-II can do things that no one ever thought possible."
His expression hardened. "Like what?"
"Anything." i whispered.
"How?" he asked.
I shrugged. "I have a gift .. a 6th sense."
He nodded. "Show me."
"Okay .. i have two soda cans right here, okay? They're unopened."
I gave them to him. He traced the top of the can with his hand.
"Hold them tight, okay?"
His grip hardened.
I concentrated, making the cans pop open.
His face went to incredulous, to flabbergasted.
I grinned and drove off without another word.
