@danskmacabre I search for an ebook reader which would be able to display my pdf Mathematical and Engineering ebooks (many of them are well-scanned) without zooming or scrolling. As far as I know, it is plausible solely by higher inched ereaders like. Kindle DX 9.7', Onyx ect. but some advanced users recommend me to buy a tablet instead 9.7' ereaders because the last ones are incomplete and early-stage.

Thanks, I was looking for something like this also...

Thanks for this. Exactly what I was looking for. I use a lot of pdfs with charts and pics and was wondering how this unit would handle it.

i'm trying to decide between a nook and a kobo. i download most of my books atm for free on my mac, but i want to transfer onto a bookreader for easy viewing. most books i have are in pdf, hence this is an important feature when some pdf books are in have pictures or unclear scanned pages.

The Kobo touch does an OK job of displaying PDFs, but it's not great. It's better to convert a PDF to epub using a program such as Calibre or something.
Additionally if you have a PDF with lots of images used as formatting, it also doesnlt do a great job, but then no Ereaders of this size (IMO) does a great job under these circumstances.

i prefer real books, no energy, no books with ereaders

Yes, it's a matter of taste of course.

Thanks, I was going to delete it as I figured noone else would be interested apart from the guy who requested it.
I may as well leave it up then.
